The Customer

The Challenge

With a fast increasing sales of shoes and clothes in Japan, warehouse operators have to walk longer distances back and forth between the storage and packaging areas. Aging population has increased scarcity and the cost of labor.

Our Solution

Geek+ implemented 202 picking robots and 6000 set racks in Nike’s new warehouse, a 10000㎡ area in CHIBA in July 2019.

MW Logistics quadruples warehouse productivity

 

The customer

MW Logistics is an e-commerce logistics service provider with a distribution center on the GermanPolish border. The company off ers full-service fulfillment, from warehousing to shipping, handling of returns, and telephone support.

The challenge

Manual picking proved to be a constraint to the rapid growth of the company. MW wanted to increase efficiency significantly without hiring additional workers.

Our solution

A total of 57 Geek + robots work on an area of 12,500 square meters with 650 shelves.

To meet the growing demand of a new customer, UPS Supply Chain Solutions® needed to reconfigure its warehouse layout to make room for new products and to scale up its operations with more Shelf-to-Person mobile robotic automation.

 

Our Solution

The relocation of 1,018 racks to a different warehouse area was completed in less than four hours. This ensured minimal disruptions to UPS's existing operations, and also provided the necessary space to begin deploying a new Geek+ Shelf-to-Person PopPick solution. Together, the existing standard system and the new PopPick system serve multiple UPS clients with different product categories in the same solution.
