When our official supplier in the Nordics, STL first met with Med24, it quickly became clear that they needed a flexible and scalable solution built to last for years to come.

Med24 is a fast-growing online health and wellness retailer based in the Nordics, offering everything from vitamins and supplements to skincare and personal care products. So, at the time when the conversations between STL, Geek+ and Med24 started, back in 2023, Med24 already had a fully functioning storage and packing system, but STL was tasked with introducing an automated solution that would drive future growth. The solution chosen was the Shelf to Person PopPick system from Geek+ .

Scalability as the main priority 🤖

The installation took place in two major steps: first, 27 racks, followed by a second phase of 75 racks. After the larger installations, STL continued installing the remaining racks daily, while another team worked on removing the old system.

In total, Geek+ and STL implemented 3 Pop-Pick stations and 187 racks, with a capacity for 13,090 totes which are the one that work today in this warehouse in the north of Denmark.
As with any large-scale installation, there were challenges along the way. But through open dialogue and a commitment to honesty, STL, Geek+ and Med24 were able to elevate the partnership to new heights. “With any big project, problems are inevitable. But we were always confident that STL was there to support us, whenever and however we needed,” says Nils Træholt, CEO and founder of Med24.

Today, Med24’s system is fully optimized to maximize warehouse efficiency. The storage area has been carefully designed to accommodate PopPick racks, fully loaded with totes and stacked to an impressive height. P1200 Geek+ robots seamlessly navigate between aisles and the central “highway,” where multiple shelves move in sync to deliver totes to the workstations. There, operators can perform inbound or outbound tasks safely and ergonomically — placing goods into totes or picking them for delivery with ease.

Thanks to this highly efficient setup, Med24 has positioned itself as a leader in order fulfillment and a benchmark in the pharma industry across the Nordics.
