This achievement is exemplified by its innovative work in delivering Hong Kong’s largest robotic e-commerce warehouse for YesAsia. Completed in just 16 weeks, this project involved the deployment of 145 innovative AMRs, namely P500, and 16 workstations in YesAsia’s first smart fulfillment center, effectively addressing rising demand and overcoming challenges during peak sales periods.
Despite global supply chain disruptions, Geekplus delivered this milestone project on time, equipping YesAsia with the largest AMR-powered warehouse in the Hong Kong e-commerce industry and a robust, adaptable logistics framework. The smart logistics solution implemented has significantly enhanced the accuracy and efficiency of YesAsia’s picking and packing processes, allowing the facility to handle up to 60,000 orders per day. Picking efficiency increased by 300%, reaching 14,000 pieces per hour during peak times. The 24/7 operation enables flexible handling of global orders from different time zones, resulting in approximately a 65% reduction in labor-intensive workloads. Additionally, these advancements empower sustainable operations that are impactful in delivering cost-effective solutions, ultimately accelerating delivery turnaround times.
In early November, YesAsia announced a significant agreement with Geekplus for the expansion of their robotic fleet at the automated warehouse system at their second distribution center, Mapletree Logistics Hub in Tsing Yi. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and operational effectiveness. The completion of the automated warehouse system is scheduled for April 2025, while the renovation project is expected to be finalized by February 2025.
